This Privacy Policy explains how Puja Spots (“the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App. By using Puja Spots, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

Puja Spots helps users discover and share information about puja places, religious events, and related activities. Some features may allow users to create an account, submit event or pooja listings, provide organiser details, or use location-related features. This Policy applies to information processed through the App and its related backend services.
2. Information We Collect
The information collected depends on the features you use.
2.1 Account and Authentication Information
When you register or sign in, we may process account information such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and information needed to maintain or verify your account.
2.2 Location Information
If you allow location access, the App may use your device location to support nearby discovery, location-based results, or location-sharing features. You can manage location permission through your device settings. If you submit a place or event location, that location may be included in the listing.
2.3 Event and Organiser Information
If you create or manage a listing, we may collect information you submit, which may include event or pooja names, descriptions, dates, times, venue details, organiser names, and contact information.
2.4 User Interactions
Information associated with interactions in the App, such as likes, reports, or other actions supported by the App, may be processed to provide and maintain those features.
2.5 Device and Notification Information
The App or service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App. If notification features are enabled, information needed to deliver notifications may also be processed.
3. How We Use Your Information
Information may be used to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts.
- Display event, pooja, venue, and organiser listings.
- Provide nearby or location-related features when enabled.
- Allow users to submit, manage, and interact with listings.
- Respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
- Protect the App, users, and services against misuse, fraud, or security threats.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Data Storage and Security
Information is processed and stored using the App's backend infrastructure, including Supabase services. We use reasonable measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You can request deletion of your Puja Spots account and personal information associated with it by using the in-app deletion feature or by contacting us using the details below.
6.1 Delete Your Account Within the App
- Open Puja Spots and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the account or profile area and select Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation information and confirm your request.
Once the deletion process is successfully completed, you will be signed out and will no longer be able to access that account.
6.2 Request Account Deletion Without the App
If you cannot access Puja Spots, email adminpujaspots@gmail.com with the subject “Puja Spots – Account Deletion Request”. Include the email address registered to your account so that we can identify and verify the request. We may contact you if additional information is reasonably required to verify account ownership.
6.3 Information Covered by Deletion
After a deletion request is verified and successfully processed, we will delete the account and the account-associated information covered by the App's deletion process. This may include authentication/account details and user-created listings, organiser or contact details, and related account records, to the extent those records are associated with the account and supported by the deletion process.
Some information may not be directly associated with your account, may already have been shared or copied by other users, or may be held by third-party services under their own policies. Such copies or independently held information may not be removed by deleting your Puja Spots account.
6.4 Information That May Be Retained
We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or prevent fraud and security abuse. Any retained information will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for that purpose and kept only for the period required or permitted by applicable law.
7. Your Privacy Choices
- Manage location permissions through your device settings.
- Choose what information to include when creating a listing.
- Stop using the App and request account deletion as described in Section 6.
- Contact us with questions or requests concerning your information.
8. Children's Privacy
Puja Spots is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services, including Supabase and platform services, to provide its features. Those services may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review the policies of services you use.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after an updated Policy is made available means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
